All indications are such that jeans sales are out-performing the rest of the apparel sector mainly due to its wide acceptance in both casual and formal including corporate environment.

The desire in jeans may also drive gift card sales as these give recipients the flexibility to choose their festive gifts – and, ultimately jeans are likely to be one of favored redemption items – since most of the recipients are teenages.

Skin Tight Jeans – Reversal Of An Absurd Court Ruling

One of the strangest news about jeans concern a 1999 court ruling that a woman wearing skin tight jeans cannot be raped or sexually molested because the removal of the garment requires her “collaboration and consent”.

The good news is that, a court in Padua held during May 2005 that “jeans cannot be compared to any type of chastity belt”. In that case, the man who was accused of molesting a 16 year old girl in skin tight jeans was sentenced for one year’s jail. The ruling was again upheld in Venice during October of the same year by the regional appeals court.

Lee Jeans – Innovative, Provocative, Cutting-Edge

The title of this blog post summarized the persona of Lee Jeans, which has a heritage dating as far back as 1889.

Lee Jeans’ popularity is a far cry from its humble beginnings as blue-collar apparel: over the last one hundred over years, it has grown to be one of the largest global brand in jeans, and probably the best selling jeans for women too.

It is therefore not surprising to find Lee Jeans in major retailers like Amazon.com. And, therefore, it is also not uncommon for Americans to own at least one pair of Lee Jeans.

Ultra Low Rise Jeans – guys, cleavage is prohibited!

Low rise jeans especially ultra low rise ones look deliciously good on ladies. The display of cleavage of the hind may be comparable to the frontal cleavage. Sexy and sweet!

Guys showing their buttock cleavage!? That’s definitely something else altogether! It is, at best, distasteful if not horrific. Some may asked why the double standard – well, it’s not hypocritical, it simply don’t elicit the same emotions when guys wear their ultra low rise jeanswithout sagging.

Power Jeans

In the not too distant past, corporate America was embracing power suits like fish in water. Today, jeans are slowly and surely making its way into offices, not merely as Friday’s smart casuals – but as common attire for daily wear.

According to Christina Binkley, a fashion writer, the current fad may be attributable to Steve Jobs of Apple, who is known to wear Levi's 501 to both formal and informal events. “Power jeans”, as she appropriately term it, is a fashion statement that shows that the wearer confident, versatile and relaxed.

However, not all categories of jeans qualify as “power jeans”. Only plain, dark color straight-cut jeans qualify as professional attire.
